After completing my degree, I spent a few years teaching at various secondary schools in the Eastern Cape and Gauteng.
A good Real-Estate-agent-friend of mine, introduced me to the industry. I found it very stimulating and subsequently qualified as an Estate Agent in the early 90's. I then quit teaching and
joined a national property group and had the opportunity to operate in the affluent Eastern Suburbs of Pretoria. There I gained valuable experience, enjoyed success and was frequently awarded as
one of the top agents at the firm. Just prior to leaving Gauteng, I was voted "agent of the year" of the company.
In 1996 we decided to relocate to the Karoo, where we grew up. In partnership with a local attorney,
I sat up a new Estate Agency in Beaufort West. After a few years I took over his share of the business and went on my own. As principal I gained valuable experience in all areas of the Real Estate
business. I also tried to qualify myself to the best of my ability.
After about ten years of running my own company I decided to join Seeff Properties and have had a very successful relationship until now.
I am a Real Estate Agent, because I want to be one!
If I can claim having been successful, I would attribute it to hard work, integrity and being objectively honest. I also believe in good client relations and professional service.
I belief that if a previous buyer phones you after more than a decade and ask you to sell his house that he bought through you, it says it all! They kept my number all these years! Unfortunately
I could not help him as I left their area years ago, but I did refer him to a colleague.
