Welcome to Seeff Queensburgh
In 1924 four residential townships: Malvern, Escombe, Northdene and Moseley, combined to form the town of Malvern. In 1952 Malvern received municipality status and changed its name to Queensburgh to celebrate Queen Elizaberth ll's coronation.
The Township of Queensburgh is now made up of the suburbs of Malvern, Escombe, Northdene, Moseley, and Glendale Gardens.
Glendale Gardens back in the 80's use to be Queensburgh Drive-Inn. Other suburbs within Durban that "fall under " Queensburgh, include Hillary, Mount Vernon, Bellair, Sea View and Memorial Park.
Queensburgh is situated 15 minutes from Durban Central and 30 minutes to King Shaka International Airport. With easy access to Pinetown via the M7 & Chatsworth being only a stone's throw away.
Queensburgh being the central point to most major business hubs, it has become a sought after area with plenty of investments particularly in residential & commercial properties. The residential landscape consists mostly of freestanding properties followed by sectional title properties and Queensmead Industrial being the hub for most of the commercial properties in Queensburgh.
Queensburgh is popular due to having several pre-primary, primary and high schools, and it is easily accessible from major highways - the M7 and the N2. Public transport, namely buses & trains, are also easily accessible.
Malvern is currently undergoing a revamp with our first Mall being built at the location of the Malvern Centre. This promises to bring even greater demand to the area and we will probably see prices for sectional title units in close proximity increasing with value.
Although no hospitals in the Queensburgh area, the community is served by a government clinic as well as numerous Doctors that have been in the area for many years as well as the Malvern Medicross which offers General Practitioners, Radiologists, Dentist and Day Clinic.
