After a robust and substantial career as Managing Director of Hyman & Co. (Pty) Ltd, a company engaged in the manufacture and marketing of textiles and fashion clothing in South Africa, India and the USA, Prakash chose to immerse himself in the very different industry of property.

At Hyman &Co, Prakash was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including finance, operations, marketing, production and HR. He also had the unique opportunity to work closely with Tommy Hilfiger himself on his first fashion ranges out of India!

With over 35 years in business, Prakash brings with him a weighty toolkit of marketing skills, sales skills, interpersonal skills and psychology skills making him an invaluable and insightful member of the team. He quickly understands clients' requirements and with his insight and logic, establishes an affinity and trust, setting his clients at ease. His financial and accounting acumen including understanding banking and loan requirements and his ability to determine product value for property valuations also reassure his clients.

Prakash’s immersion in property began in 2009 when he started working for Trapezoid Investments in Johannesburg, marketing their new development One On Herrwood. Job done, Prakash moved with Trapezoid to Umhlanga and sold almost 500 units for them between 2012 and 2018.

January 2019 saw a new beginning for Prakash at Seeff where he now focusses on developments and special projects. Prakash most enjoys meeting new buyers and sellers and coming across new properties. It is also very evident that Prakash appreciates and values the relationships that he has cultivated with the directors, the management team and his colleagues.

It’s a huge endorsement for Umhlanga that Prakash and his family chose to call Umhlanga home. Prakash has after all, travelled extensively and has lived in many countries from India to the UK, Canada, USA and Hong Kong. That he chooses Umhlanga over those places is an affirmation; we can be confident that we’re in a good place, and, investors, you’re in good hands.
