Atlantic Rail, under the new ownership of the Ceres Rail Company, will be relaunching soon with exciting new trips to Simon's Town.
Atlantic Rail had to cease all operations towards the end of 2017 due to the water restrictions in Cape Town and the massive amount of sand that started piling up on the tracks in Simon's Town after weeks of strong winds.
The Ceres Rail Company has since taken ownership of Atlantic Rail, is in the process of removing the sand and has confirmed that recycled water will be used in their operation. As a result, the first trip to Simon's Town has been scheduled for 1 July 2018.
Atlantic Rail offers a unique experience on a refurbished steam locomotive that takes passengers on a trip back in history. The trip takes you all the way from the CBD to Simon’s Town and back every second Sunday and takes approximately 6 hours. Atlantic Rail will also be launching trips to Stellenbosch very soon.
Don’t miss out on this thrilling experience. Book a trip by visiting Atlantic Rail’s official website today.
