A brief history of the area
The valley in which Llandudno is found was declared a township in 1903, and was named after a seaside resort by the same name in Wales. The name means "Parish of Saint Tudno" in Welsh. The name was chosen due to the remarkable physical and geographical similarities between the two areas.
