A brief history of the areaÂ
Established in 1905 as an intended racing centre, Goodwood was named after a racecourse in England. The founders soon abandoned the idea and built railway stations instead. The town has become synonymous with trade and has born municipality status since the early 1900s. Goodwood has its own coat of arms featuring the depiction of an airplane, ox wagon and a horse jumping over a fence.Â

Cape Town International Airport is approximately 20 minutes (10,2 km) away via the M12. Getting to the CBD will take you roughly the same amount of time via the N1.Â
