Welcome to Seeff Barrydale

The little town of Barrydale in the Western Cape lies at the foot of the beautiful Langeberge in the heart of the Tradouw Valley on the border between the Cape Overberg and the succulent Klein Karoo. It forms part of the Route 62 wine route, the longest in the world.
Barrydale is only 240kms from Cape Town and can be approached from three different directions; via the N2 through Swellendam and Suurbraak; or from Montagu via the famous R62, and thirdly, from via the R62 from Oudtshoorn and Ladismith.

It was established in 1880 and has retained its timeless charm and supports a diverse community of young and old, from fruit farmers and artists to long-time residents and newcomers. Barrydale has a busy agricultural sector and is mainly a dairy and fruit producing area, exporting deciduous fruits, ranging from peaches, plums and pears, to apples and grapes.

Barrydale is the perfect destination for people wishing to unwind and relax far removed from strains and stresses of city life. For the more adventurous, the area offers various outdoor adventures, from hiking and 4x4 tracks to quad tracks up the Langeberg Mountains.
