In keeping with the market tradition that Capetonians love, the cinema plays hosts to its own mini food market every Wednesday night. While other cinemas offer the usual popcorn and soda combinations, Galileo offers you food and beverage choices from local favourites such as Butler’s Pizza, The Mexican Nacho and the Stellenbosch Brewing Co. to name a few. If you want to avoid the lines at the food stalls, pre-book a picnic to enjoy anytime from six until the film begins.
If you want to relax in comfort but don’t want to have to cart along all the extras, Galileo has you covered. A variety of packages can be purchased that include chairs, blankets, mattresses and pillows. Be sure to arrive early for the best viewing spots outside of the VIP zone.
