Vacant land within the highly sought after Simbith

Eco Estate has not been an easily accessible commodity during the past few years, due to the popularity of this fully developed lifestyle estate. However, by converting a portion of Simbithi that was encompassed within a private family homestead, Beachcroft was born. This new build opportunity, available direct from the developers with no transfer costs, is so unique that sites were in high demand even before the product was brought to market. Beachcroft is a 24 erven freehold development and located adjacent to the existing original homestead of the Ladlau family who owned the original farm. World-renowned floral artist Rosemary Ladlau still resides in the homestead and her grandson Tim Johnson is Sales Director of Seeff North Coast, who are exclusively marketing this development. He says: “At the time that the farm was sold to the developers of Simbithi the Ladlau family retained about 8 hectares, including the original farmhouse and botanic-like gardens. It is on this portion that Beachcroft has been subdivided and brought to market."
Adds Johnson, who is also one of the great grandsons of GP Ladlau who purchased Beverley Farm in 1919 from two British officers: “Both my great grandfather and his son Mannie, my grandfather, were dedicated conservationists at heart. In their farming practices they ensured that indigenous trees, wetland areas and riverine vegetation were preserved. When Simbithi was then developed all the residents benefitted from this legacy of conservation, inheriting an estate with large tracts of indigenous forests. This feature was also integral in the initial marketing of Simbithi.
“My grandmother Rosemary Ladlau also shared this passion for flora and over the years she has crafted a magnificent botanic setting within this area. I believe this expansive park-like area today is ‘a window into the past’. Beachcroft provides a well-developed natural environment due to the preservation principles embedded in this land. Upholding this legacy, both in the natural sense as well as the historic aspect, has always been our family’s intention, but with an overall aim of increasing its value by enhancing its best use whilst bringing physical enhancements to the land.
“Taking cognizance of the property’s uniqueness and almost 100-year-old legacy, a measured low-density approach was taken when planning the development. Beachcroft includes sites ranging from 1040 m2 up to 2212 m2, which are priced from R1.76m to R2.88m. The site, accented by a number of established forested areas and gorgeous greenbelts, also enjoys views of the Simbithi Stables and paddocks from many of the plots.
“It is with great pride that we launch this latest Simbithi offering. We look forward to welcoming investors to explore the available plots. Understandably, it is already proving very popular, with 50% sold prior to and at the launch. There are currently only 6 plots left – a rare opportunity not to be missed.”
The guidelines for style of housing are the same as for the rest of Simbithi Eco Estate, and purchasers may select their own architect. Residents will have access to all the facilities of the master-planned, pet-friendly Simbithi Eco Estate, which now has severalCommunity Centres, including a clubhouse with a swimming pool, tennis courts, a restaurant, a children’s adventure playground and open green areas for free sporting activities as well as a championship golf course. King Shaka International Airport is just 15 minutes away.
