Local goes Global … Seeff across the continent and beyond

The Seeff Property Group is not just a proudly South African brand with a track record of growth and success for over six decades, but the brand is now a household name across Southern Africa, stretching into Dubai and beyond, says Samuel Seeff, chairman of the Seeff Property Group.

 

Seeff now has 200 offices across 10 countries including Namibia, Botswana, eSwatini, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, and Mauritius. We also opened in Tanzania this year, and recently expanded into Mozambique. Seeff Dubai has operated for two years and places the brand in one of the world’s most dynamic investment hubs with broad appeal.

 

The recent expansion into Tanzania and Mozambique unlocks new frontiers for the brand and enables Seeff’s local teams to apply innovative property solutions in emerging markets. Seeff’s licensees in these countries play a key role in their respective markets, advancing the industry, shaping the future of real estate, and taking it beyond borders.

 

Among key initiatives are events and roadshows. For example, Seeff Botswana has been a sponsor and partner for many years of the Botswana Real Estate Conference and Expo (RECE) which was held in early October.

 

The event was attended by licensees and delegates from other Seeff branches including Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, eSwatini, Malawi, Mozambique, and Dubai and provided the opportunity to showcase property and investment opportunities across borders. Chairman of the Group, Samuel Seeff also hosted a panel discussion.

 

Another example is the “Zim Diaspora Property Showcase” roadshow events. Led by Seeff Zimbabwe the events bring together and involve a broad range of partners and exhibitors, including other real estate companies, financial institutions such as CBZ Bank, and legal practitioners, to provide comprehensive services to the diaspora.

 

The core goal of these showcases is to build trust and confidence by bringing together the entire property ecosystem, aimed at reconnecting the vast Zimbabwean diaspora with lucrative and secure real estate investment opportunities back home. Following the success of the UK showcase in 2024 and again this year, the event expanded to other countries such as the US/Canada edition in Dallas, Texas.

 

Seeff Dubai, recognising the surging interest in offshore investment from the African continent, has proactively hosted key roadshow events in both South Africa and Nigeria. The aim of these showcases is to connect property investors from the African continent directly with the lucrative Dubai property market, which offers high rental yields, tax-free returns, and flexible payment plans for off-plan luxury developments.

 

The Seeff initiated roadshow events targeting major South African regions, from Cape Town and the Winelands to KZN, and more recently as far as Polokwane. These aimed to bring Dubai property and investment opportunities directly to buyers in Southern Africa, providing vital insight and access with expert guidance for investors seeking offshore investment or long-term residency through schemes such as the Dubai Golden Visa.

 

The Nigerian trip entailed a week-long roadshow across Lagos and Abuja, aimed at capitalising on opportunities for investors seeking diversification. This series of events resulted in significant on-the-spot sales, underscoring the trust the Seeff brand commands, and the high demand for Dubai real estate among Nigerian business and government officials.
