The Seeff Country Awards which took place at the spectacular The Rock Restaurant on March 10, was a day of celebration for the real estate industry; coupled with delectable food and panoramic views of the New Harbour.
Home team Seeff Hermanus won a plethora of awards proving their dedication to service excellence. Samuel Seeff, the founder and chairman of the Seeff Group, gave a powerful speech at the event, a speech that resonated with the audience and set the tone for the day.
Samuel Seeff emphasised the importance of positivity in the face of challenges. He acknowledged that the real estate industry has faced many obstacles over the years, including high interest rates, economic downturns, and even the recent Covid-19 pandemic. Despite these challenges, Seeff has managed to thrive and succeed, and Mr Samuel attributed this to the company's commitment to positivity and resilience.
He began his speech by saying, "For the challenges ahead, we have two choices, either to be positive, or say there is too much going on to be successful. Positivity is in my DNA, in fact, it's in the Seeff group's DNA, it should be one of our values."
He went on to list some of the challenges that Seeff has faced over the years, including the high interest rates of 1998, the dot-com era, and the global financial crisis. He also mentioned the recent State Capture scandal and the Covid-19 pandemic, both of which have had a significant impact on the real estate industry. Through sheer determination, Seeff has overcome every obstacle that has come its way.
Seeff has managed to adapt and thrive. Samuel noted that Seeff had its best year ever in 2021, despite the pandemic, and that 2022 was also a good year. He encouraged the real estate agents in the room to focus on the positive and to make the best of every situation.
"Let's not focus on the negative. Seeff will be known for our positivity. We will be known for making things happen, no matter what, and making the best of it."
He spoke about the importance of perseverance, reminding the audience that challenges are a natural part of life. "The only people who have no challenges are no longer breathing." He encouraged agents to embrace challenges and to focus on the opportunities that come with them.
He concluded his speech by congratulating the award winners and encouraging them to carry the spirit of positivity with them in their work. "Well done all of you, capture that feeling of winning awards and make sure the positivity takes us through, and who knows, maybe we will make a new record this year."
At Seeff Hermanus, we take great pride in our agents' relentless pursuit of service excellence. Well done, team! You've done us proud.
