Seeff Zimbabwe under the leadership of Patience Patongamoyo has been raking in one award after another this year. The branch launched in 2018 and has built a significant presence and reputation within Zimbabwe, and Patience has recently expanded with a new Seeff Mozambique license.
Patience Patongamoyo leads Seeff Zimbabwe as managing director and licensee. She is a leading figure in the Zimbabwean real estate sector. She also served a six-year term as a Councillor for the Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe. She is an expert in mining business, leadership, and coaching, and promoting ethical industry practices, including anti-money laundering and customer due diligence education. She is also dedicated to empowering the diaspora communities to invest in Zimbabwe’s real estate market.
Patience was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Zimbabwe by the Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe (ICDZ) in 2024. This year, she has garnered more top accolades from within the Seeff Property Group as well as the real estate and business sectors within Zimbabwe.
At the Seeff Property Group’s annual Licensee Conference, Seeff Zimbabwe was a standout performer in the "International" division, securing several prestigious awards, including Excellence Achiever, Most Units Sold (International), and Rental Licensee of the Year (International).
Beyond internal recognition, Patience Patongamoyo also garnered a host of industry awards, being:
Zim Achievers Awards UK 2024 - Event of the year (Zim Diaspora Property Showcase)
Zimbabwe Project Management Awards 2024 - Property Development project of the Year
Gold Award for Outstanding Real Estate of the Year
ZimReal Champions Award for Women in Real Estate Category
Aside from building a strong brand presence within the Zimbabwean and regional real estate sector, Patience has for the last two years spearheaded innovative roadshows aimed at taking Zimbabwe’s real estate opportunities directly to the diaspora communities. She says Zimbabwe has a huge diaspora market with many nationals working all over the world, including South Africa, the UK, USA, Australia, and Dubai.
Seeff Zimbabwe held two Birmingham, UK property roadshows, inviting the whole Zim real estate industry to join and present a united front to the diaspora market. They also held a successful showcase in Dallas, Texas in the USA, and are looking at doing Australia and Dubai in the future.
She says the Zimbabwean property market is offering significant opportunities. It is currently experiencing significant growth and dynamic activity. There is a substantial building program for new developments across the country, which is a clear indicator of this expansion. This, she adds, has led to high demand, particularly from the diaspora market, who are showing a strong and consistent interest in investing back home.
The second-hand property market also continues to grow as demand for fairly priced properties increases and new properties become available, ensuring a healthy supply. It is, however, important to note that it remains largely a property buyer's market, as some sellers have priced their properties beyond the reach of average buyers, thus creating opportunities for informed purchasers.
