Fairview Golf Estate at a glance

The Sir Lowry's River forms the southern boundary of the unique Fairview Golf Estate set in the picturesque village of Gordon's Bay. Over twenty years ago one of Gordon's Bay residents, Johannes Zandberg or better known as Zantie had the vision of a golf course that would be open to the public, however, it would be maintained by the golf estate, and thus this one of a kind estate was born.

Due to the severe drought, the Western Cape experienced water conservation has become one of the province's main focus and Fairview Golf Estate is no exception. The nine-hole golf course has the river as a natural feature and this has formed two popular water hazards along its 2,705 m walkway that winds through the different parts of the housing development that features spectacular homes ranging from R1,850,000.00 right on the greens and a plethora of sectional title complexes with prices starting at R1,100,000.00 and apartment living at its best with prices ranging from R600,000.00 to R790,000.00 for, there are even still open plots where the home of your dreams can be built with prices for a 500m² at R750,000.00 ensuring that the purchaser spoilt for choice.

Fairview Golf Estate has been meticulously designed and with its Home Owners Association having a conservation front of mind this project is ongoing. Mini dams will be developed over time to assist with irrigation, walkways will be upgraded to stone walkways, the soil will be treated to ensure better drainage and infiltration rate of the water into the soil and over the past three years, the Home Owners Association has even gone as far as planting over a 1000 trees from Beefwoods, Kabobs, acacias and even the slow-growing yellowwood. This clearly shows that long-term sustainability is the cornerstone as this unique project blossoms to completion.

The Estate also offers a clubhouse that is open to the public where they serve delicious breakfast and lunch. Conveniently located at the 9th hole, perfect for a cold libation after that perfect eagle has landed.

Future plans for the estate include the possibility of a pro/practice range and driving range set on the northern boundary of the estate.
